Peachtree City Named Most Affordable Suburb
By Linda Hangen | March 10, 2009
Peachtree City is the “most affordable suburb” in Georgia, according to BusinessWeek magazine, who cited the city’s cart path system, Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center, and two lakes.
Home affordability – with the city’s median home price at $247,900 – was the most important factor in the magazine’s calculations. The average commute was listed at 29 minutes.
Other considerations included low pollution and green space; well-educated residents and high test scores in schools; low personal and property crime; and impressive economy with high job growth, high family income, and low unemployment rate.
BusinessWeek penalized places with lack of racial diversity, bad weather, high divorce rates, and few children. In Peachtree City, the survey noted that 48 percent of the city’s residents are married with children.
The magazine considered communities with populations ranging from 5,000 to 60,000 within 25 miles of the most populated city in each state, median family incomes of $51,000 to $200,000, and lower than average crime rates.
“Residents are attracted to Peachtree City for its recreation-oriented lifestyle, award-winning schools, extensive variety of home styles and prices, and 90 some miles of cart paths for jogging, bicycling, walking and golf cart rides,” said The Home Source Realtors Qualifying Broker Linda Huff. “The city’s convenience to I-85 for a quick commute to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and downtown Atlanta is an added bonus.”

SummerGrove Website Named Nation’s Best
By Phil | February 12, 2009
While SummerGrove is best known for its great amenities, wide range of home styles and enviable Newnan location, the community was recently honored on the national level for its website initiatives.
At the recent National Association of Home Builders Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada, SummerGrove won the Gold Award for Website in the nation by a master-planned community.
The website cleverly communicates the fact that SummerGrove is almost sold out with a “flying turtle.”
This is the highest internet-related award given in the home building and development industry. Other communities competing for the Gold Award included The Landmark in Denver, Colorado; Bridgeland in Cypress, Texas; Oakleaf Plantation in Jacksonville, Florida; Brambleton in Ashburn, Virginia and Sun City Mesquite in Mesquite, Nevada.
“In today’s internet-driven society, it is an honor to have the best website in the nation for a master-planned community,” said Phil Corley, vice president of marketing for Pathway Communities. “But the real proof is the success of SummerGrove. The builders at SummerGrove have really paid attention to the details and our on-site agents have done a tremendous job of educating potential buyers about the merits of SummerGrove.”
SummerGrove is located at the intersection of Lower Fayetteville Road and Shenandoah Blvd. in Newnan. The Information Center is open daily 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m.-5 p.m. For more information, call (770) 252-9000, or visit www.summergrove.com.

Customer Testimonial for The Home Source Realtors
By Tela Kayne | January 25, 2009
Below is another great testimonial that came in for a Realtor on The Home Source Realtors Team!
1-22-2009
To Whom It May Concern:
We would recommend Michelle Johnson and Lisa Gray of The Home Source Realtors to list your property. They have both been very helpful and professional during our home selling experience. Our situation is a bit unique. We were transferred to Puerto Rico and had to leave our house fully furnished until it sold.We were away for months at a time. Michelle and Lisa were very attentive to our home. They went and checked on our home numerous times per our request. Also, they followed up with every agent who showed our house. They passed along all of the feedback they received from the agents and tried to overcome all of the prospective buyers objections. One objection we received several times was the yard was too small. Lisa and Michelle changed the wording in their advertisements to make the small yard seem positive by stating, “Low maintenance lifestyle”. They kept signs posted, fliers stocked and always answered their phones. They were very aware of the current market condition and continuously educated us. We really appreciate all of the time and effort they put in to selling our home!
Satisfied Customers,
Vic & Gina Echevarria
