Low Flow Toilet Rebates

By Cheri Scranage | June 17, 2008

Due to the severe drought we experienced last fall, households all over the metro Atlanta area have been trying to come up with innovative ways to reduce water use. Inefficient toilets, those installed in homes built prior to 1993, can be replaced to save water. There are water authorities all over the metro area that have monies available for rebate when you replace with a low flow toilet. Low flow toilets use approximately 1.28 to 1.6 gallons of water as opposed to the older, inefficient toilets that use as many as five gallons per flush. There are still monies available to Fayette County Water System customers as well as other water systems around metro Atlanta. For more information, go to www.fayettecountyga.gov or directly to www.northgeorgiawater.org/toiletrebate to down load the rebate application and the list of approved replacements.
